When it comes to diplomacy and international relations, the ambassador of a country deploys to the state of interest is a very important piece of the puzzle.
Basically, an ambassador is a high-ranking diplomat representing a country and this individual often serves as the resident representative of the country’s government when it comes to diplomacy related assignments.
In this post, we will trace the Nigerian Ambassadors from 2012 till date.
In June 2012, President Goodluck Jonathan deployed 93 diplomats to over 64 countries across the world after presenting them with their letters of credence.
86 of these ambassadors were posted out of the country while 7 remained in Nigeria as ambassadors-in-situ. Out of the 86 posted out, 62 were deployed to serve as ambassadors while 24 were appointed as Deputy Heads of Mission.
