Debasis Mukharjee (Born December 17, in Naihati, West Bengal, India is a theoretical chemist. He is Professor in the Department of Physical Chemistry and Director of the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science at Kolkata, India.

Mukharjee has been awarded Fellowship in the Indian Academy of Sciences in , the Indian National Science Academy in ), he became a Foundation Fellow of the West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology in , a Life Member of the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science in and received the Silver Medal of the Chemical Research of India in He is also a fellow of the International Academy of Quantum Molecular Science.
