M.Y.R.A. Entertainment was established in 2007 by producer and filmmaker Margarethe Baillou in New York City. Baillou founded the company as a space to foster the development of films which abstain from graphic violence and promote intercultural understanding..^[1][2]

In its early years, M.Y.R.A.

associate produced the documentary short "Body & Soul: Diana & Kathy" (2007)^[3] before producing the video art pie
